CANYON COUNTY CONSERVATIVES
Protecting the integrity of local politics for future generations.
If we, as Idaho conservatives, don’t work together to fight liberalism, we will lose our beautiful state. Idaho is made up of thousands of amazing patriotic conservatives. Whether it be with your local political groups, or a statewide outside organization created to help us maintain and strengthen conservativism and our liberty in Idaho, get involved!
If you’re curious as to if your local elected officials are conservative or simply wearing an R by their name, there are a number of resources to help you decide, particularly the Idaho Freedom Foundation. A good sign that your legislator may not be as conservative as you’d like is if they disparage this organization, which has effectively shown how legislators are voting in Idaho. Another sign that a candidate may not be traditionally conservative is how ardently they censor opposition, or attempt to discredit conservatives by calling them “Libertarians”.
How do I get involved in local politics?
We hear it all the time: I spent my life paying my taxes, raising my kids, volunteering, and keeping my nose clean and now it feels like I woke up one morning to a nation I do not recognize.
Our nation is at a turning point.

Get Educated
Getting educated starts with understanding your local politics and how they work. Local politics is separated into two primary areas of knowledge.
Party Politics
Your local party politics is what supports your local government officials getting elected. Hate the laws being passed in your state? It all starts with getting involved in your local party. The Canyon County Central Committee* meets on the 3rd Tuesday of every month at 111 N. 11th Ave, Caldwell, ID 83605 at 7:00 PM. This is a great way to meet your local legislators and those elected at the most local level.
*This is the conservative alternate to the Democrat Party, who also has a Central Committee in Canyon County.
Rules of Engagement
Your government runs by a certain set of rules. These rules dictate how you can interact with government. If you are going to engage effectively in politics, you have to know the rules of engagement.
The rules by which this Central Committee operates under are State Statute which generally pertain to election laws, the Idaho State Party Rules, your County Bylaws, Standing Rules, and meetings operate under Roberts Rules of Order.
There are a wealth of resources that can teach you about these two areas of knowledge. We are working diligently to organize this knowledge into easy to digest information that will help you get involved in your local government.
